Within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2025, our university team HÜRKOR achieved second place in the Detailed Design Category of the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition. HÜRKOR represents a multidisciplinary collaboration primarily involving Nuclear Energy and Civil Engineering and was the only university team competing in its category.

A: The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1992. The undergraduate program admitted its first students in the 2014–2015 academic year.

  • Structural Engineering: Analysis, design, and performance of structures under various loading conditions.

  • Hydraulic Engineering: Water resources, hydraulic structures, and environmental fluid systems.
  • Transportation Engineering: Planning, design, operation, and management of transportation systems.
  • Construction Materials: Development, characterization, durability, and sustainability of construction materials.
